Southern California’s fatality rate from Great White sharks is 4x higher than in Northern California

It’s important to note that the ‘Other’ category includes incidents from other kinds of sharks, as well as cases where the shark species was not identified. This means it’s possible there have been fatalities from Makos or Hammerheads, although this has not been confirmed.
